A trustee is essentially an administrator.  We administer a process whether it be bankruptcy or consumer proposals but we take it from the beginning to the end.  And our job is to make things happen.  A bankruptcy lawyer on the other hand is there to bring the weight of his expertise and his overall knowledge of law and especially bankruptcy law to people for their benefit as a personal advisor so to speak. So how do you do that? Well only the law can do it for you.  When you go bankrupt essentially you are asking the law to do it for you.  And it will.  As long as you follow the rules that are laid out.  And that\u2019s what the trustee explains to you.
